Trail Riding in Eastern Kentucky is a fulfilling hobby. Many riders visit different state parks and share their own farms or areas with local riders. The men and women involved have a great time and build long lasting relationships. Unlike many groups with member in the 40's and 50's  Facebook , Texting and any form of immediate communications is embraced and used to plan last minute rides in many locations. If you miss an evening on the computer you may miss the ride the next morning. Weather is the deciding factor in any ourdoor activity.

Several local Parks have trail systems. Yatesville, Grayson , Carter Caves, Greenbo are all within a 45 minute drive of my home.

Maintaining the trails falls to the people that use them. Economic constraints and budget cuts has taken any state support back to a minimum. Trail riders build trails , repair trails and pick up any trash. Very seldom is trash found on horse trails most riders feel if they carried it in full they can carry it out empty.
